About the project

Botanist is a conceptual florist that I created to explore a soft minimalist aesthetic. I wanted to strike a balance between the classical and romantic design style traditionally associated with the wedding industry, and something more modern and minimal.

Process & Solutions

In designing the brand and website, my objective was for it to feel modern, while maintaining a sense of tradition and romance. I used a colour palette of warm neutral tones and a serif font across the site to achieve this.

The main role of the website was to showcase the brand’s beautiful floral displays, so I created a simple backdrop that wouldn’t compete with the product. My objective throughout this design was to “eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak”.
